Beverley Town Football Club has confirmed that Dave Ricardo has stepped down from his role as first-team manager.
Ricardo who during his two-year spell at the club has brought plenty of success winning three pieces of silver ware.
He says the decision to leave Beverley Town was not an easy one, Talking about his decision to HU17.net Ricardo said;
“I have had two very good years here at Beverley Town Football Club. We have won the Humber Premier League twice and the North Counties Senior Cup so it is not easy for me to leave.”
His success at Town has not gone unnoticed by other teams and when he was approached for the second time by Selby Town, he said it was too good an opportunity to turn down;
“Selby play in Division 1 of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League, this is a chance to manage at a high level and climb the football ladder.”
“I will always be fond of Beverley Town Football Club, in my time here the support I have had from the committee, coaching team and players have been first class.”
“Collectively I feel we have put in place some good foundations for the club to develop further and to remain a force in the Humber Premier League.”
Ricardo took charge for the final time on Saturday against Hedon Rangers.
