Managers at Tesco’s Beverley store had to pay a forfeit recently in order to raise money for Diabetes UK, Tesco’s national charity partner.
On Friday 2nd May, all the male managers had their legs waxed and the following Friday, the girls had to bathe in a tub full of mushy peas! Thanks to our customers and staff sponsorship, a total of £710 was raised over the two days.
Alex Boak, store manager at Beverley said: ‘’Our customers have been very generous and I’d like to thank them all for donating to what is a very worthwhile cause.’’
Since the partnership started in March 2013, the Beverley store has raised £12,300 for Diabetes UK and throughout Tesco’s UK network, the £10m fundraising target has already been beaten.
