The Beverley Committee of Yorkshire Cancer Research is celebrating another wonderful year of fundraising.
At its recent AGM, the group announced it had raised £39.000 in the last financial year.
The money was the result of committee and public fundraising, including a street collection, marquee lunch, antique quiz, fashion show and coffee mornings to mention just a few. Donations and in memoriam gifts also helped them to reach this great amount.
Pam Woodall Chairman of the committee said they were most grateful for everyone’s continued support and generosity.
Money raised by Yorkshire Cancer Research is used to fund scientists and clinicians at the five centres of excellence based at the universities of York, Hull, Leeds, Bradford and Sheffield. And of course every penny raised in Yorkshire stays in Yorkshire.
Help is always needed whether you can spare a couple of hours or more, we are always on the look out for more volunteers, please contact Pam on 01482 657218 if you would like more information.
