Bad weather did little to dampen the spirits of those at Beverley Racecourse for the themed meeting a Very British Race Day.
In true British spirit many showed a stiff upper lip and braved the typical British Bank Holiday summer weather of rain, sun and more rain for an afternoon at the races.
Ahead of the horse racing nervous bookies took bets for the ever popular Donkey Derby which was won by Paddy ridden by Paul Mulrennan.
