BEVERLEY: Welfare Check For Elderly Man – Do You Know Who He Is?

BEVERLEY: Welfare Check For Elderly Man - Do You Know Who He Is?

Three police patrols attended the location and didn’t find anyone in the area.

A further call was received from the Beverley Grammar School this morning (just before 0800hrs), as the school opened to report a trail of blood around the school grounds.

The amount of blood appears to be small droplets, but spans across the whole grounds of the school, where a walking stick was also recovered.

CCTV at the school has been checked and shows an elderly man walking within the grounds of the school at 0120hrs this morning (Wednesday 11 June).

The man is not believed to be showing signs of distress in the CCTV. However, the lower part of the gentlemen’s left arm does appear to show a darkening, which could possibly be blood.

Humberside Police have not received a missing person’s report or any calls regarding concerns for welfare, so are instead appealing to anyone in the Beverley area, if you recognise this man, to please let us know who he is, so we can check on his safety.

The school remains open and officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s possible injuries.

Rumours have been circulating as to the origin of the blood at the school, and PCSO Rachel Matthews has reassured the staff and pupils that there is nothing to worry about, and our main concern is to ascertain the elderly mans identification and his welfare.

If you recognise this man, please call Humberside Police on 101, quoting Log 99 of 11/06/2014
