The Sport, Play and Arts Service have launched a National Football Initiative locally. Walking Football sessions will take place at Beverley Leisure Centre every Wednesday on the outside pitch starting at 11am until 12noon.
The weekly sessions are free and are backed up by the East Riding County F.A and are part of the Mars Just Play National Scheme.
The sessions are targeted for people over 50 and aim to provide fun, sociable football games and skills, that may improve fitness for those who maybe previously played and would like a chance to get their boots on once more.
The sessions will be led by Adam Gibson from the Sport, Play and Arts Service who will provide casual organised walking football games and accommodate various fitness levels, providing low to mid intensity matches ideal for those who haven’t played for a long time or would just like to get fitter and meet new people.
No matter what skill or degree of fitness you’re we’d strongly recommend you give Walking Football a try!
