Tesco were pleased to welcome the Brandesburton, Beverley and Hornsea District Scouts Group to bag pack in our Beverley store. Thanks to the customers of Tesco, the bag pack raised a fantastic £463.
Mark Coulthard, the Group Scout Leader said;
“Bag packing is a fantastic way of us raising funds to enable our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to experience new activities and challenges, be it archery, gliding, kayaks, or simply going on camps and making new friends. Many ex scouts stopped to speak to our children or leaders to comment on how scouting had changed over the years.”
“The money raised will be put towards our annual camp which will have a host of activities to challenge and test our group ranging from climbing wall, grass sledges, orienteering, archery and swimming as well as purchasing some new cooking equipment for use on real fires.”
