Alison Piper says since taking on Fir Trees Nursery in Tickton her nursery continues to grow in popularity with parents and most importantly with the children who attend.
Speaking to HU17.net Alison, who has a wealth of experience in working with young children said;
“I took over the nursery back in March in 2013 giving it a complete makeover. I have had it extended and completed a full refurbishment of the inside too. What we have here now is fantastic, bright stimulating environment that children really enjoy.”
Her work has not gone unnoticed by the Ofsted. A recent inspection gave the small family-run business a glowing report something Alison is rightly very proud of.
Having worked all her life in early education, including seven years at Beeford Primary School Alison has built strong relationships with many local schools.
As the popularity of her nursery that caters for children aged 2 – 5 years old grows Alison is doing all she can to handle the demand for places, she said;
“At the moment we have a limited space available on our register and are in the process of taking on new members of staff and to cope with the expansion of the nursery.”
“Given our location on Hull Bridge Road, we make an ideal location for parents who are looking for childcare who come from Molescroft, Lecconfield, Beverley, Tickton, Cherry Burton and Leven.”
“As children prepare to leave us in July as they go off to school, we will be looking to fill a limited number of spaces that this will create.”
Alison is keen to ensure that Fir Trees Nursery is fully utilised, a term time only service Alison says she will open her venue to bring other child-friendly activities to the area, she said;
“As we operate a term time only service I want to use this lovely environment for other things. We are already in talks and looking to offer soft play sessions during the school holidays in conjunction with local business Let’s Tumble.”
Given their success and the expansion of her business Alison is currently recruiting new members to her dedicated team of staff.
