To celebrate the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, a sports festival for young people with additional needs is being held at Longcroft Upper School, Beverley on Friday, 25 July 2014 from 1pm to 4pm.
The event is open to young people aged between 7-18 years and will provide a chance to take part in a number of sport and play taster activities including athletics, football, archery, and golf.
Adam Swann, Community Sports Coach at East Riding of Yorkshire Council said: “The festival will showcase some of the activities that are currently available to people with disabilities and bring a number of projects together as one to celebrate.”
The festival is free however booking is essential as places are limited.
