Around 1.30pm today the heavens opened up as storms broke out over Beverley and other parts of our region.
The A164 was transformed into a river in place forcing some cars to park up as the worst of the rain past.
Lazaat Hotel was flooded as the was the access road to the hotel with motorists choosing to sit out in their cars rather than pass through the mass of water that continued to get deeper at the foot of the hill.
Traffic lights also appeared to suffer I the storms, when I first past the A1079 junction near Morrison’s the lights worked perfectly just a 30 minutes later they were out.
