Yorkshire County Cricket Club 2nd XI faced Worcestershire County Cricket Club 2nd XI this week at Stamford Bridge.
This was my second trip to Stamford Bridge in as many months though unlike last time when the ground was pretty much under water this game was blessed by great summer weather.
East Yorkshire Stamford Bridge who are supported by local Beverley business Ceramic Tiles enjoyed bumper crowds for the 50 over match all of who were treated to great day of cricket.
On the pitch Yorkshire’s Will Rhodes opened the batting and the youngster put on a great display reaching his 50 before going on to complete his 100 as Yorkshire closed on 332 for 6.
In reply the visitors were all out for 289 as Yorkshire won the match by 43 runs.
