Beer in a Bottle is the brain child of Patrick Gladstone, a lover of real ale who is hoping his new venture will be a hit in Beverley.
Based on Ladygate Patrick has been working around the clock to get his new store ready and open for business, which will sell real beers and ciders.
Patrick said he wanted a change of career, tired of being a driving examiner, he has turned his attentions to selling bottled beers in heart of Beverley.
Speaking to HU17.net Patrick said;
“Before settling on Beverley for the new shop I looked at other locations, including Hull but think the demand for the product will be far greater in here in Beverley.”
“When I saw the shop the building sold its self to me. It is perfect. Furthermore, we have a good relationship with the Chequers Micro Pub in Beverley, and they have been very supportive of our project.”
Timing is everything when starting a new business and Patrick is confident that Beverley is the right place and it also the right time to open a quality niche shop in the town, he said;
“Real ale is growing in popularity, people like drinking it in pubs and want to be able to enjoy that same quality product in their own home.”
“Where ever possible we will be selling beer that is still alive while on the shelves, just like that sold from a barrel in a bar or down your local pub.”
“At Beer in a Bottle we will be stocking a good variety of real beers that I have sourced personally from breweries all over the UK, including some within a 25-mile radius of Beverley.”
“The most important thing is the quality, once we are open we will keep searching further afield to bring the very best beers and ciders to our customers.”
Officially, the shop will open on the later in July though Patrick is hopeful to open his doors this Friday in time for the British Cycling event that takes place in the town centre.
Good luck Pat!!
Already visited and bought some lovely cider with rhubarb, I would recommend it. The service was very friendly and helpful
