Beverley Racecourse will host its last evening meeting of the season tonight as they host the Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival.
With a great forecast Kate McKee of Beverley Races is hoping people will come along and enjoy the six races at the Westwood course.
Speaking to HU17.net Kate said;
“There is going to be plenty to do tonight here at Beverley Races. We have the Great British Racing Road show, an Equicizer which is used to train jockeys and you can meet a racehorse!”
Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival is a scheme that encourages people to support racing, the event tour nine different course throughout Yorkshire and tonight it is the turn of Beverley.
Kate added;
“This is one of the our favourite meeting’s of the season, aside from the things to do we have live music and today also will see us begin to launch this year’s Ladies Day which take place on the 13th August.”
“It is the last chance to enjoy summer evening racing here on the Westwood.”
The first race starts at 6.15 with the final race setting off at 8.45 – the main race is the 7.45 Weatherbys Stallion Book Handicap.
