Coletta & Tyson has marked another major milestone after the garden centre sold its 10,000th hot drink in its redeveloped Oasis Café.
One lucky drinker was highlighted as the 10,000th customer last week and will receive a gift card for the centre.
Raymond Cooper and his wife Dorothy, of Hull, visited the centre and Oasis Café last Thursday and were delighted to find out they were the milestone customers.
Mr Cooper said:
“We are regular visitors to the centre and we have been impressed with the changes. The café looks fantastic and the food and drinks are very good.
“We enjoy visiting the centre whether we want to buy something for the garden or just to have a breakfast. We usually go down on a Thursday and head straight for the café.”
The refurbished café was officially opened in April and has been attracting growing interest to both garden centre customers and people who visit solely for the café.
John Tyson, of Coletta & Tyson, said:
“Since we reopened Oasis Café we have been delighted with the number of visitors that have taken the time to enjoy what it has to offer.”
“Within the café we try to use as many locally-sourced foods and ingredients as possible. Using local material is something we are very conscious of throughout the centre.”
“The garden centre is now becoming a real destination instead of simply a garden centre and we are looking forward to a busy summer.”
“Dorothy and Raymond helped us reach this milestone and I would like to thank them for their support and I look forward to seeing them down at the centre to spend their winnings.”
The new café features a heritage lounge corner, a dining area aptly named the veg patch, children’s area and views out into the garden centre.
