Local Business Gets Messy to Launch Colour Run

Local Business Gets Messy to Launch Colour Run

Dove House Hospice are teaming up with Brooke Ceramics on Friday 1st August to officially launch Hull’s first colour run.

The run itself will take part over a 5K circuit in East Park on Sunday 14 September. Participants will be blasted with explosions of colour after each kilometre to become walking works of art.

At the finish line there will also be a ‘Colour Festival’, featuring live bands, music and even more coloured paint!

Local company Brooke Ceramics took the opportunity to support the event through sponsorship the Pink colour station on the day, and staff members will be practicing their paint hurling skills this Friday in order to celebrate the launch.

Geof Brooke, owner of Brooke Ceramics, said:

“As a local business we jumped at the opportunity to get involved with such an exciting event, whilst also supporting the great work that the hospice does for our area.”

“Pink is our colour, and our staff members are already looking forward to the day, in what should be great fun for everyone involved.”

With sponsorship opportunities still available, there is still time for businesses to be a part of a craze that is taking off across the nation. There are also still places available for individuals to register to take part on the day.

Jethro Shearring, fundraising coordinator at Dove House Hospice, said:

“We are delighted to have Brooke Ceramics on board to support what should be a fantastic event for the area. We couldn’t think of a better way to launch the run then making a colourful mess ourselves!”

The colour run is suitable for all ages, with registration currently available online at www.dovehouse.org/colourrun.

For further information about sponsorship opportunities, or the event itself, call 01482 785743 or e-mail fundraising@dovehouse.org.uk.

All proceeds raised through the colour run will help the hospice continue to provide care for adults with life-limiting illnesses.
