It is not exactly a secret but still there are both residents and business owners unaware of the alternative broadband provider that is currently supplying a super fast internet service into the town.
Quickline Communications, based in Hessle has been providing high-speed wireless internet in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire since 2007.
The service does not require a telephone land-line, instead it works via a small non-invasive device that is securely fixed to the roof of a business or residence by one of Quickline’s engineers.
This device then transmits a signal from one of the many transmitters which have been installed around the region.
Quickline is aiming to provide 100% broadband coverage in Beverley as it does into the rest of East Yorkshire.
There are other wireless internet service providers in the area but Quickline has invested in its own technology and is working with the University of Hull to develop ways of working without line of site.
