Students from Bishop Burton College Event Management course have yet another fantastic opportunity to organize a crowdfunding project, this time for a group of local young musicians from Hull.
After they very successful event in April to raise money for the Beverley Community Lift Amy Scutt, Fran Lane, George Payne and David Marshall have raised the bar while switching their attentions to the music scene.
Working alongside the Cornucopia Festival team the students will look to raise the money needed so they can get a group of musicians to the Festival and enable them to perform what the students say is unique set.
Speaking with HU17.net Amy explained more about the project, she said;
“BlackBolt are a new age orchestra built up of an eclectic mixture of rock enthusiasts and classical fanatics, who have come together for their mutual passion for music and performing.”
“Consisting of aspiring musicians, post graduate students and young professionals they have produced an incredibly powerful and unique sound.”
“They recreate popular sounds we all recognize from TV programmes, films and games, with visual aids to add to the fantastic experience.”
“Our mission is to raise £4000 in order to provide these young musicians with the chance to perform at a professional level in front of a large crowd.”
“So far we gained the support of local companies, individuals and local businesses and are now looking to anyone who would like to donate via the kickstarter webpage.”
To help promote the event and raise the money needed the students have also designed their own flyers that they will be handing out at various upcoming events in Hull and East Yorkshire in the run up to the festival.
If all goes to plan and they reach the target that BlackBolt will take their place on the big stage on the 28th September to perform at the Cornucopia Festival.
