Local rugby league team the Beverley Braves are the latest team to benefit from fund raising at the Tesco store in Beverley.
The Braves U11s were invited into the store to pack bags for shoppers in return for donations collecting over £400 from generous shoppers.
Chairman of the Beverley Braves Neil Gay said;
“Thanks to the generosity of the Beverley public the event was a huge success, with the U11s raising a fantastic £443.”
“All The money will go towards their forthcoming camping trip in the Yorkshire Dales and also for training equipment.”
“As Chairman and the under 11s coach, I would like to thank Tesco for organising the day and offer thanks to all the Tesco customers who contributed.”
This weekend the Beverley Braves U11s will take to the field in the Admiral on the Humber Cup Final at Haworth Park.
