Hull United remain top of the Humber Premier League after they beat Beverley Town FC at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Two first half goals from United’s Danny Clark and former Town favourite Rob Northern sealed the points as the Champions suffered their fourth defeat of the season.
United will feel they deserved all three points though Town’s manager Ross Cording well less than impressed with the performance of referee.
At the end of the match the manager let them know his feelings relating to two shouts for penalties that were turned down.
The loss leaves Town nine points of the pace, next weekend they are again at home as they host Hornsea Town.
