Beverley Minster Turned Purple To Raise Awareness Of Pancreatic Cancer

This weekend Beverley Minster was turned purple to help raise awareness of pancreatic cancer.

Paul Raper, Simon Vickerman and Malcolm Pyle the men behind the idea pulled off what was a spectacular spectacle as Beverley’s most famous glowed purple.

Beverley Minster were fully supportive of the event with further backing to their campaign given by local MP Graham Stuart.

Simon said;

“It was an amazing night last night, we were over the moon how beautiful the Beverley Minster looked and were so overwhelmed by the amazing turnout and support.”

“There was the added bonus too with Graham Stuart and Kevin Wedgewood a leading local Pancreatic Cancer Surgeon and specialist came to support and both gave a speech on this terrible disease.”

“I think we have completed our initial objection to raise much needed awareness and up to now we have raised just over £750  with more to come.”

“I would just like to thank City Electrical factors from Beverley for donating the purple gel filters for the lights at the Beverley Minster.”

Anyone wishing to donate can still do so, collection pots are in place at the Queens Head Pub and Grovehill Road chip shop till the end of the month.
