Hodgsons FC saw of Longhill Ravens to progress to the next round of the East Riding County FA Intermediate Cup.
Playing in a changed strip of blue the Tanners eased past their opponents at the Beverley Leisure Centre with a 4-2 win.
Longhill who play their football in the Hull amateur leagues were no match for the Tanners whose
goals came from Ben Daniels, Darren Jenkins, Daniel Atkinson and Pete Jude.
Speaking after the game Atkinson said;
“It is always nice to get on the score sheet even it is a spot kick. My goal however was no match for Jude’s effort which I can only describe a 40 yard wonder volley.”
“It Was a good performance against a lesser side and this victory sets us up nicely for our next two games against the bottom teams in the league, both of which are must win games.”
Hodgsons FC are at home again next weekend as they host Easter Raiders who are yet to manage a point this season.
