This was a comfortable win for Beverley Town Reserves as the team showed the ruthless side to their game.
Town got off to a good start and had a couple of opportunities and finally took the lead when a corner to the back post found Shaun Gibson in plenty of space who volleyed home with aplomb.
Two further goals quickly followed through Alex Stark with a good finish and a shot from Danny Cattle that went in off the bar before Patrington pulled one back with a deflected shot.
Undeterred, Town pressed again and soon increased their lead further with goals from Gibson and Stark.
Player manager Ed Grady asked for more of the same in the second half and he was not disappointed.
Grady watched as his side moved the ball about well and continued to make chances.
Gibson completed his hat trick after unselfish work by Stark. Gibson was to repay his fellow striker by doing likewise as Stark added his fourth.
Mark Wilson came on to replace Stark coming off the bench to score his first goal for the club.
Debutant Dan Field should have added to the tally but somehow headed over from 4 yards before the scoring was completed by an own goal.
Saturday sees the reserves make the short trip to Broadgates to play Walkington FC in an East Riding County League Premier Division Clash.
Final Score: Patrington 1 Beverley Town Reserves 10
