Late Header By Smith Steals The Points For Town

Beverley Town FC earn got a hard earned win that was only secured three minutes from the end by midfielder Ryder Smith after h nodded home from a corner.

Town started well as both Charlie King and Adam Williamson had early chances and a shot from Ryan Hirst flew narrowly wide.

On 23 minutes another shot from Hirst was deflected into the path of Jordan Organ who scored from 6 yards.

Despite Towns early dominance,they conceded an equaliser on 39 minutes when a free kick was headed down and the resulting shot scored.

Town quickly responded and restored their lead within 3 minutes when King’s shot beat the keeper at his near post.

However, Bridlington showed their bouncebackability and levelled for the second time after 47 minutes when a long shot looped over the Town keeper.

It was Towns turn to defend as the Seasiders pushed for the lead but they managed to keep Beverley at bay. When the game looked to be heading for a draw, Smith popped up to secure the win.

Next Saturday,Town entertain East Riding Rangers at the Norwood Recreation Ground in a Humber Premier League at 2pm
