Local retailer, Evans Halshaw Beverley, has uncovered just how much Christmas cheer people in Yorkshire shall be spreading this Christmas, thanks to a survey by Vauxhall.
A poll by the British manufacturer reveals that residents in the region plan to give an average of 15 gifts to friends and family and send 20 greetings cards for the festive season.
Over a third (38%) of those surveyed in Yorkshire also plan to throw a party and almost half (47%) pledge to make at least one personalised gift.
The survey also identified that over a quarter of residents aim give their time to others over Christmas by volunteering for a charity or worthy cause, while 37% are likely to donate money to charity over the yuletide period.
The retailer is sharing these findings ahead of offering a little something extra to motorists this Christmas.
Between 27 December 2014 and 12 January 2015, Evans Halshaw is hosting the Vauxhall Free Fuel Event, whereby all customers purchasing a brand new Vauxhall car or van will drive away with £500 of free fuel*.
