Irish Dancing Academy To Open In Beverley

McKeown Irish Dance Academy are to bring Irish dancing classes to Beverley at the new dance studio at Tokenspire Park.

Emily Redfearn from the McKeown Irish Dance Academy explained a bit about the school and the new classes they are brining to the town, she said;

“The McKeown Irish Dance Academy opened in September 2014 running classes in Hull. Since then we have also opened a class in Anlaby and now are starting classes at the brand new Arts Garage Studio at Tokenspire Business Park in Woodmansey. “

“We teach traditional Irish step dancing as well as modern ‘show’ Irish dancing as seen in ‘Riverdance’ and ‘Lord of the Dance’.”

“Our classes cater for students from age 4 upwards as well as adults who want to try it out, from novice to championship level.”

“Our students can take part for fun, perform in shows, or train in order to compete in Irish dance competitions across the country and have the opportunity to compete all over the world.”

McKeown Irish Dance Academy are registered with CLRG, the world’s largest Irish dancing governing body and classes are taught by qualified Irish dance teacher, Tara McKeown TCRG and Emily, a world championship qualifier.

Classes in Beverley will be held on Monday nights from 6pm-7pm starting on the 19th January and dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome.
