The Lord Nelson threw away a two goal lead at the weekend as they were beaten in the East Riding County League by Holme Rovers.
Going into the match the Lord Nelson knew a win by two goals would see them move above Rovers and appeared to on track as goals from Joe Green and Mike Hewitt gave the home side a half time advantage.
Rovers however thought back in a second half eventually winning the game 4-3 with the only highlight for the Lord Nelson being Matty Littlefield scoring on his return to action after serving a lengthy ban.
With no fixture next weekend the Lord Nelson return to action on Valentine’s day when they host Driffield Rangers at Longcroft School.
