Beverley Art Gallery is hosting creative drawing courses led by practising artist and tutor, Esther Nightingale, every Tuesday from 17 February through to 24 March.
It is an opportunity to get creative, develop skills and experiment with drawing techniques, whether you are a beginner or a more experienced artist.
Beverley Art Gallery’s exhibitions and art collection is the inspiration for the creative drawing work. The group will explore ideas and techniques on display and go on to develop their own work, using wet and dry media on various papers and surfaces.
There will be three courses taking place in 2015, following the success of previous years. You can continue to participate if you have been before, to carry on developing your skills.
Each course will cover different techniques and will use different exhibitions or artworks from the collection as starting points.
Previous participants said the course was brilliant, very inspirational and confidence-building.
The course takes place at Beverley Art Gallery in the Treasure House on Tuesday evenings from 5.30-7.30pm starting on Tuesday, 17 February through to 24 March.
It is suitable for young people and adults aged 16 and over and beginners or more experienced artists are equally welcome.
All materials are provided and if you can’t make the first course, the second course is running from June to July, and a third from September to October.
The course of six sessions is £50 per person and more information can be found by visiting www.museums.eastriding.gov.uk
