Beer in a Bottle have launched a new 3 day home delivery service as they look to try and encourage more people from Beverley and the surrounding areas to order from them online.
Trading since the summer from their Ladygate store, Beer in a Bottle business owner Patrick Gladstone told HU17.net;
“I think a lot of people are not aware that we deliver, or they were maybe put off by the cost of our original next day delivery service, so we’ve got together with a local courier to offer a lower cost 2-3 day delivery option.”
“We normally operate a next working day delivery service on a case of 12 or more ales for £7.45 but we now have an offer of a 2-3 day delivery service for only £2.95 on any order of 12 bottles or more.”
“The beers can be ordered online or in the shop and delivered right to your door. The offer is open to any address with a HU postcode.”
At the end of January in was announced that beer sales in the UK went up by 1.3% bringing an end to a decade of decline.
The news at the time was welcomed by CARMA Chief Executive Tim Page who commented;
“It is fantastic to see overall beer sales back in growth for the first time in ten years, but it is vitally important that beer sales in pubs move back into growth too.”
“The 0.8% drop in pub beer sales is the smallest decline in sales since 1996, but if we want to see less pubs closing it is vital that number is pushed into positive growth.”
“A third beer duty cut in next month’s budget will help ensure that 2015 is the year when pub beer sales finally start growing again.”
Beer in a Bottle opened their business in Beverley in the summer of 2014. Their arrival in town has proved to be very popular with lovers of Real Ale.
Stocking beers from local area and from all over the world Patrick is keen to drive more customer through the company’s web site and increase their online sales as they look to capitalise on what is growing market.
