Police are appealing for help in locating a vulnerable Beverley man who has gone missing from home in the early hours of today, Monday 23 February 2015.
George Jameson (81) left his home in Elmsall Drive in Beverley at around 0300hrs today and police and family are growing concerned for his welfare due to an existing medical condition for which he is receiving ongoing treatment. Mr Jameson was expected to return home but he failed to do so and no contact has yet been made with his family.
Mr Jameson is described as a white man, 5ft 5ins tall and of large build with short white/grey hair. When he left the house he was wearing a brown fleece, black trousers, a brown flat cap and carrying a black leather holdall.
Area searches are ongoing currently by police but the help of the public is also requested to assist in locating Mr Jameson as quickly as possible.
Mr Jameson or anyone who may have seen him or can help in confirming his whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 quoting log number 114 of today.
