Beverley Musial Theatre Presents Singin' in the Rain

Beverley Musial Theatre production of Singin’ in the Rain will be a bevvy of song and dance, especially tap dancing.

Alsion White from the Beverley Musical Theatre explains;

“ The leading man Chris Holmes is a man of many talents and one of them is a tap dancing teacher.”

“Chris has offered to put the cast of 50 through their tap dancing routines to ensure the show is alive with vibrant tap routines.”

“The cast have bought their tap shoes and are busy going through their training at a dance studio so they are ready to wow the public in June at Hull New Theatre.”

“Chris is not new to Musical theatre and has played several lead roles, his job which is at a school for children with additional needs is teaching dance, music and drama which he loves and allows him to pass on his expertise to the children.”

“He is choreographing his own scenes especially the famous scene where he dances in the rain, Chris will be soaked with 10,000 litres of water each night  lets hope he doesn’t pick up the flu which Gene Kelly did whilst filming the scene.”

“Chris is joined on stage by fellow special needs teacher Mandy Pearson and 2 young leads Ellie Hutchinson and Tom Agnew, both who are follow drama and music careers.”

“The show also has a local dance troupe joining them on stage.”

Singin’ in the Rain will take place at the Hull New Theatre runs from 9th to 13th June 2015 and tickets can be bought by calling the box office on 01482 300300.
