Pilates Can Make A Real Difference To Your Body And Mind

Lisa Hutson says that Pilates can make a real difference to your body and mind. With over 10 years experience teaching Pilates Lisa has launched a new classes in Beverley.

Speaking to HU17.net she said;

“I love the effect Pilates has on my body and that of my participants and I aim to make all my classes fun and inclusive to all.”

“My experience has seen e teach people with specific sports and fitness requirement as well as those who have health conditions that limit their ability to exercise.”

Fully insured and registered on the register of exercise professionals Lisa’s new classes are held each Thursday at 11:30am and 6:30pm at the Arts Garage 2, Tokenspire, Beverley.

She added;

“Pilates emphasises correct breathing, correct spine and pelvic alignment. Each movement is performed with control and precision.”

Pilates aids the development of a strong “core”. Having a strong core can improve your posture, reduce back pain and flatten your abs.

Regular weight training gives you short bulky muscles through Pilates your muscles will become longer and stronger. It will improve your muscles elasticity, flexibility and aid the maintenance of healthy stable joints.

Joseph Pilates (the creator of Pilates) developed the Pilates method focusing on balancing and evenly strengthening the body. Balanced muscles can reduce your chances of injury and improve your sports performance.

Relaxation

Unlike yoga Pilates doesn’t specifically set out to offer relaxation but through concentration and breathing you can achieve a clear mind allowing you step out of your daily stresses and calm your mind and body.
