With the great bike event Tour De Yorkshire setting off from Bridlington this year Murray Hills Solicitors thought it would be an ideal time to raise money for local charities and are doing their own ‘Tour de King Street’.
On Thursday 30th April from 9am until 4.30pm members of staff including those based in Beverley will be riding exercise bikes at their office on King Street in Bridlington to raise money for Bridlington lifeboat and Cash for Kids.
Everyone is welcome to come down and cheer them on and there will be goodie bags and balloons available on the day while stocks last.
Not all the volunteer exercise bike pedalers are used to the saddle but wish to participate in the event to try and raise as much money as possible for such worthy causes. However with a taste for sporting activities, as well as Tour de King Street, both Chris and Luca are intending to do the Mad Cycle Run next year, Chris ran the London marathon in aid of Contact a Family last year and he is also planning to do the three Jane Tomlinson 10k’s and the Hull marathon this year .
Murray Hills Solicitors strive to help charitable organisation’s each year and for this event the staff at Murray Hills wished to support a more immediately local charity, knowing the excellent service the RNLI provides they chose to raise funds for the Bridlington lifeboat with managing director, Mr. Keith Murray, adding the equally superb Viking FM Cash for Kids.
Mr Murray said;
“We wish to embrace the amazing sporting event that is Tour de Yorkshire to fuel staff enthusiasm and raise as much as we possibly can for our two chosen charities.”
“Both the Bridlington lifeboat and Cash for Kids do amazing work and we would be proud to present them with a cheque to help them continue to provide their services, we do however need the help of the local community and would ask everyone to give what they can to sponsor our bike riders and also come down on the day and show your support in what we are hoping will be a fun fuelled day.”
Mr Murray added;
