Garry Cammidge, Managing director director of Ceramic Tile Merchants in Beverley says that despite the infamous Grove Hill Road Roundabout works he is confident the project overall will be good for business in the long run.
For some month’s motorists and local business have felt the impact as a result of the major projects taking place along Swinemoor Lane with the new junction at Grove Hill Road taking the brunt of public criticism.
Dubbed the ‘Magic Roundabout’ by locals, motorists and traders have had a difficult few months facing long delays when in the immediate area.
However, Mr. Cammidge is feeling optimistic about the project as a whole and hopes that when it’s all finished there is a real opportunity for himself and others to benefit.
Speaking to HU17.net Mr. Cammidge said;
“While the works did impact us a bit towards the back end of last year when the works were at their peak, they are almost complete and now we need to look forward and see this as an opportunity to win more business.”
“With the new by pass, it presents us and other company’s trading around here a real chance to get new trade as more people will be passing by.”
For Ceramic Tile Merchants, 2014 was a good year, the company won a national award for Excellence in Independent Retailing and to date 2015 the company said sales figures are back on track.
They say that people are starting to return to their store and the other businesses on the industrial estate since the new junction was completed.
With their large showroom on Grove Hill Road, they have a vast selection of products set out for customers to see. Some of the products are available to take away on the same day as well other items that need to be specially ordered.
Open six days a week the company takes pride in providing a complete tile service for their customers. With a reputation for supplying quality tiles for both domestic and commercial use.
