Hotter to Mark National Shoe Fitting Week With a String Of Events

Hotter, the UK’s largest manufacturer of shoes will kick off a week-long event this Saturday as they look to highlight the importance of measuring and fitting shoes correctly.

National Shoe Fitting Week takes place from Saturday 28th March to Saturday 4th April and was started by The Society Of Shoe Fitters.

Lorna who, manages the branch on Toll Gavel in Beverley said;

“The reason behind the National Shoe Fitting Week is to highlight the importance of measuring and fitting shoes correctly in order to prevent foot and back problems.”

“We will have a poster to advertise this through the week, but our main event will be on Wednesday 1st April when we will be visited by Mr. Damian P. Johns from Foot Friend a Podiatrist / Chiropodist.”

“He will be in our store at 2pm to discuss with our customers the importance of getting the right fitting.”

“We will also have a few treats for customers to take away and will be offering a free fitting service where customers can come and be measured.”

Throughout the week-long event we shall also be offering £10 off one pair £25 off two pairs and £40 off three pairs of our shoes in store.”

“Hotter is highly recommended by a lot of podiatrists as our shoes have excellent features, like wider fittings, half sizes, breathable leathers, deep toe boxes for extra ‘wiggle room’, arch support, removable insoles and more.”

Founded in 1959 as a slipper manufacturer, Hotter now offers a collection of stylish women’s and men’s shoes with hidden Comfort Concept.

Hotter opened their store in Beverley back in September 2013 creating eight new jobs. The company as a whole employs over 1,300 people and has over 1 million customers in the UK and overseas.

Hotter’s multi-channel sales platforms enable customers to shop online, through mail-order books and through its nationwide store network.

At its state-of-the-art factory Hotter produces a pair of hand finished shoes every 20 seconds.
