DCI Banks author, Peter Robinson will take centre stage at East Riding Theatre on Thursday 23rd April The hit series showed on ITV in 2011 makingRobinson a household name.
A Yorkshire Man himself, Robinson received a BA Honors Degree in English Literature fromthe University of Leeds. He furthered his career in Canada and divides his time between Toronto and Richmond in North Yorkshire.
Robinson’s first novel, “Gallows View” in 1987, introduced Detective Chief Inspector Alan Banks andwas short-listed for the John Creasey Award in the UK, and the Crime Writers of Canada Best First Novel Award. AswellasThe Sunday Times number one best-seller in 2014, “Abattoir Blues”, is a top ten paperback bestseller in the UK. This DCI Banks thriller, follows the success of No.1 best-seller “Children of the Revolution”, which shot to the top of the UK charts earlier this year.
