Beverley Musical Theatre Present Singin' in the Rain

Beverley Musical Theatre are in full rehearsals for their production of Singin’ in the Rain at Hull New Theatre from 9 to 13th June this year.

Alison white from the Beverley Musical Theatre said;

“We are having to deal with 10,000 litres of water being used to create the rain scene which everyone knows from the film.”

“With a 45 strong cast all having umbrellas to use in the show so hope no one is too suspicious, even the orchestra will have them, but the audience will remain perfectly dry.”

Beverley Musical Theatre have got a number of local people and businesses involved in the production. Burton Constable Hall is playing host to filming silent movie scenes for the show and media students from East Riding college are behind the camera to shoot the scenes.

Alison added;

“Beverley Musical Theatre can be seen at a number of events around the region to promote the show.”

“We will be doing some taster of songs from the show at Burton Constable Hall on 12th April, and also providing entertainment at the Tour De Yorkshire in Beverley on May 2nd.”

“Other means ways will be promoting the production include a flashmob in St Stephens Shopping Centre, Hull on May 9th and Singing for the Brain concert for dementia week on May 20th.”
