Local runners and members of sports clubs are being urged put on their running shoes and join the Beverley Braves at their annual fun run which will be held next month.
Building on the success of previous years the fun run occurs on the Beverley Westwood with runners tackling a 5km course that is fully marshalled and is ideal people of all abilities.
Speaking to HU 17.net David Walker, press officer the Beverley Braves said;
“This is the fourth annual Beverley Braves Fun Run and will take place on the Westwood on Saturday 16th May.”
“Once again it is expected attract more runners than ever before. It starts at 11am, with registration from 9.30 onwards on Westwood Road.”
“It is a 5km run and is open to anybody, the entry fee is £5 and fancy dress is encouraged.”
“Other sports and social clubs are also encouraged to join in and raise money through sponsorship for themselves.”
“The £5 entry fee covers the marshalling of the course, insurance for the event, fruit, water and a certificate for every finisher, after that the sponsor money raised is all yours.”
“This is a quick and easy way to raise some money for your own team or good cause of staying fit and having fun at the same time.”
