Beverley Building Society held its 147th AGM at Browns Department Store in Beverley.
With 60 in attendance, it made for a very engaging evening, and thanks must go to all members attending for their support and to the staff at Browns for their help in hosting the event.
The Chairman and the Finance Director both highlighted the success of another year of record breaking growth for the Society making this year the fourth consecutive year of increased profit performance.
As well as announcing the financial growth and success, the evening saw the handover of the Chairman’s position from Stuart Young to Brian Young.
Brian said;
“I am delighted to succeed Stuart Young, who has been an exceptional Chairman of the Society, and will strive to continue the mission that the Board has set for the Beverley.”
“I am a passionate believer in the role that Mutuals can play, especially in the local community, and the path of upholding traditional Mutual values in a modern setting is one which I and the Board will continue to follow.”
The Society is very proud of its local heritage and the part it plays in Beverley and broader East Yorkshire communities.
It is thankful also to all its members throughout the country for their ongoing support as it builds towards the 150th Anniversary next year and continues to offer ‘Unrivalled Personal Service’ and straightforward value for money products and services.
