Golf Day Raises Over £2000 For Children’s Hospsice

A Busy Weekend At Beverley & East Riding Golf Club

Wednesday 29th of April saw the annual Charity Golf Day of the Rotary Club of Hull Kingston, at Beverley Golf Club.

There were 24 teams taking place and the main charity benefitting was St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice. The eventual winners were the team from Beverley Golf Club.

All of the teams were able to complete the course in the windy conditions, with only a few of them getting rained on. A raffle with over 60 donated prizes added to the overall total raised of £2,225.

Adrienne Hodgson, Hospice Representative, said;

“It was another amazing day and we are very grateful to the Rotary Club, the main sponsor Smailes Goldie, Beverley Golf Club and all of the teams who took part.”

“The money raised will go towards the upgrade of the sensory room within the new redevelopment of St Andrew’s.”

“The children’s hospice costs £1.7m each year to run and we rely very heavily on the local community for their support.”
