Beverley 10K Proves Beneficial For Local Charity Age UK East Riding

Age UK East Riding felt the benefit of the Beverley 10K this weekend as they collected money from people attending the event.

Danielle Buckland, Community Events Organiser at Age UK East Riding said;

“Age UK East Riding is a local and independent charity and was this year’s sponsored charity at the Hall Construction Group Beverley 10K.”

“We had an information stand and tombola at Race HQ at the Beverley Leisure Centre as well as volunteers around the town with collection buckets.”

With record numbers of people taking part in the Beverley 10K there were plenty of generous people who all contributed to the overall amount collected.

Danielle added;

“Overall we managed to raise over £150 on the day. All of the money raised during the 10K event will help to maintain these vital services to ensure older residents have the support they need.”

“Age UK East Riding promotes independent living and active ageing and aims to do this through the services we offer.”

“We provide a Good Neighbour Scheme, Information and Advice Service, Spic and Span Cleaning Service, Home Services Directory, and other products and services to the over 50s in the county.”
