Stamford Bridge’s Dominic Rhodes praised the team after they claimed 30 points by beating Beverley Town Cricket Club at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Stamford Bridge eased to victory as Beverley’s first team failed with the bat managing to post a score of just 197 from their alloted overs.
Speaking to HU17.net after the game Rhodes said;
“We knew it would be a tough game as Beverley are a strong batting side so we was very happy to keep them to 197.”
Stamdford Bridge made light work of the Beverley top order, Rhodes, when asked about the bowling efforts of his team said;
“We bowled good lines and made them work hard for their runs. They had a lot of luck at the start but fair play they stuck in there. Beckett and myself showed our quality with the ball.”
“As a side we are playing well so we knew against a fairly poor Beverley bowling attack we should knock it off easy and we proved it.”
“Matthew Beckitt, Kevin Murphy and Sam Tennant batted very well and put the bad balls away.”
Stamford Bridge have enjoyed a good start to the season and Rhodes feels the side can kick on and put a real to finish in the promotion places.
Currently second in the table they are just 24 points behind the league leaders, Woodhouse Grange.
When asked about his sides chances he said;
“If we keep playing positive cricket who knows but Woodhouse are a quality outfit and I expect them to win the league.”
“Our goal as a club is to finish in the top 5 and get into the new league for 2016.”
Final Score: Stamford Bridge Beat Beverley by six wickets.
