One of one of Beverley’s most popular events, the Beverley Classic Car Rally that will be coming to town the evening of 24 June.
Organised by the East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Classic Car Club that come to Beverley and host their summer soirée that sees thousands of people poor into the town centre to enjoy a nostalgic evening browsing the hundreds of cars motorcycles scooters and trucks that are on display.
An event that is suitable for people all ages the Beverley Classic Car Rally sees the town centre from Saturday Market and along most of Toll Gavel transformed into a large outdoors motor show.
While for many of us who just gets one the round taking each cars spare for the Mayor of Beverley who has the task in selecting an overall winner all vehicles that are on display.
Previous events have seen some of the most prestigious as well as some of the most historic motor vehicles in our region all displayed at the event.
Many of the cars are been put on display have been lovingly restored by their owners who along with their vehicle show of pictures and documentation explaining how they restored the very car you are looking at.
Other highlights of the show included recreations of one of the most recognisable cars in the world, the General Lee, which featured in the hit TV show the Dukes of Hazard.
Not to be outdone by the petrol heads who have a love the four wheels the Beverley Classic Car Rally attracts motorcycle and scooter clubs who also display some absolute true gems on the night.
A free event , the Beverley Classic Car Rally takes place on Wednesday 24 June from 6:00 PM until approximately 9:30 PM.
