Humberside Police are urging Beverley residents to be vigilant when it comes to home security after thief sneaked into someone’s home while they slept.
In a statement released following the crime Humberside Police said;
“A thief snuck into an unlocked home as the occupant slept upstairs. The burglary happened at a detached property in Lichfield Close, Beverley, at 12.30am on Tuesday June 2.”
“The 25-year-old victim awoke the next day to discover a black trolley-style bag, containing a HP laptop, brown leather wallet, credit and debit cards, £40 cash and business cards had been stolen.”
“While inside the thief had also used keys found in the house to get into a car parked outside, taking a sat nav, Bluetooth ear piece and iPhone cabling.”
“Witnesses, or anyone offered the items for sale are asked to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 2117100.”
