Siege Tabletop is a department of Fleurs de Lisa flower shop in Beverley. It is a dedicated tabletop war gaming shop and a place to play your table top games from Warhammer 40k, to flying Xwing dogfights, or historical gaming.
They sell stock through normal shop hours, but we also offer two gaming evenings (Monday and Wednesday, 6.30 till late must be 18 or over for the evening sessions) and Saturday 9-5. Bring your armies to either play games or paint.
You can even just come in and enjoy the hobby from a social aspect meeting new friends and chatting (Usually a heavy dose of banter so bring a thick skin!). This is really the most important side to Siege Tabletop as in a day an age where people communicate through social media to be able to actually provide an affordable evening or day out for people of all ages is really great for the town.
Martin Barrow who owns the business said;
“We have a really good community of players that come from as far as Leeds and York to play regularly as well as many locals. The games played are very varied from historical battles right up to fictional sci-fi and fantasy games.”
“The models are outstanding and really detailed. It’s a really good hobby as it can be either creative or strategic. Most players are either good at painting or good at playing the games or sometimes (rarely) both. It’s really nice in a digital world to have something that you can have in your hand and collect.”
“There is also a club you can join called the Yorkshire Renegades who participate in large Battle projects and take them on the road to shows all over the country. They also meet at Siege every 1st Sunday evening of the month 5pm till late. They would love any budding new members join in with the projects and campaigns they design.”
“First and foremost this hobby is about making friends, and I can guarantee by the time you have your first starter set painted up and on the battlefield you will have made a group of new mates.”
