Thousands of people attended the Beverley Folk Festival, which was held this weekend at Beverley Racecourse.
Throughout the three days, a number of top acts appeared at the Beverley Folk Festival but the event also provided the opportunity for young local musicians to showcase their talents.
The highly successful Westwood Sessions which was set up by Nikki Airey, Alex Cook of AFC Entertainment and Beverley Folk Festival Children’s Events Coordinator Denise Delahay in order to provide a free open platform exclusively for under 25’s in the area were at the folk Festival giving musicians the opportunity to record their music.
One of the musicians who took up the opportunity to record their own CD was an incredibly talented singer Leonora Brooks from Walkington. During the evening, The Westwood Sessions hosted open mic nights allowing all musicians the chance to perform at the Folk Festival.
