In the new Tone Zone is double the size of the previous gym, and now houses more than 90 pieces of state of the art equipment.
The new Tone Zone boasts the latest Matrix equipment with features such as Virtual Active software, which gives users a choice of location to run or cycle through, from Hollywood streets to tracks around the Grand Canyon. Users can also watch TV and listen to their MP3 player on the machines.
Councillor Stephen Parnaby OBE, leader of the council, said:
“I am delighted that we have completed this superb refurbishment here in Beverley, which has given our residents unrivalled facilities both for fitness and leisure.”
“It’s another excellent example of how this council is able to invest for the future, thanks to our prudent financial management over many years.”
The previous gym has been converted into a dedicated fitness area for Les Mills Body Pump, Body Step and kettlebell classes.
East Riding Leisure Beverley also offers a popular Café Vibe, a swimming pool, room hire and a wide range of activities, many of which can now be booked online with a unique new booking system.
