Beverley ARLC take on second placed York Acorn ‘A’ in an important Yorkshire Division One clash at the Beverley Leisure Centre this Saturday kicking off at 2.30pm.
Pat Howdle is desperate to see his side climb the table. Last week’s victory against Birstall Victoria saw them remain in ninth place, with the teams immediately above them in the table all winning.
Howdle is quietly confident of success in this fixture, which could be indicative of his side’s progress so far this season, with spirits relatively high in the camp.
He will have to do without the services of Mike Cooper, who discovered he had broken a thumb in last week’s two try performance. On the plus side, Bobby Howdle, Sam Coleman and Saul Beavis will all return to the squad from work commitments and injuries.
Beverley ARLC will be looking to Lewis Poskitt’s kicking game and distribution for inspiration with Jack Humphries, Jack Howdle and Alex Starling providing muscle going forward.
