Pickering gave their promotion hopes a boost after they beat Beverley Town Cricket Club by 97 runs at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Batting first Pickering scored a credible 228 for the loss of six wickets from their 50 overs. Beverley lost early wickets which ultimately proved the difference between the sides.
Beverley lasted 40 overs as they were scuttled for 131.
Next weekend Beverley face Goole Town, the side directly below them in the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League.
