Licensing officers from East Riding of Yorkshire Council were kept busy during Ladies Day making sure race-goers got home safely in licensed vehicles.
Officers attending Beverley Racecourse were made aware of a number of unlicensed vehicles, including a minibus, limousines and rickshaws operating without the correct licences in place.
These are all being investigated further and appropriate action will be taken, if necessary.
Councillor Shaun Horton, said:
“There are regulations in place for those operating private hire vehicles in order to keep them and their passengers safe.”
“We would urge anyone who books a private hire vehicle to make sure it is licensed and ask if anyone has any concerns to contact the licensing team.”
