The Game Bird Golf Society : Social Golfers Welcome

A group of men in Beverley have formed a new social group that has been set up to encourage men to enjoy a social game of golf.

The Game Bird Golf Society was created by Darren Winters, a keen local golfer, he said;

“We are just a group of guys that enjoy a round of golf. All the guys are of different abilities but we share a common interest, we all like playing golf.”

22 players took part the first ever competition held by the Golf Society which was held at Sutton Park Golf. The overall winner of the event was Nigel Rushby who finished with a score of 42 points.

Darren added;

“We aim to get together every three weeks and play. If anyone is interested in joining all they need to do is pop into The Game Bird and speak to Martin the Landlord.”
